Daniel Habrda
Czech director and screenwriter, a graduate of the Film School in Písek and
the Miroslav Ondříček Film Academy, and co-founder of the production
company NuArt.
Influenced by his father, Michal Habrda, and his father’s uncle, the
accomplished theater actor Ivan Holub, Daniel turned toward filmmaking. For his
application to the private college in Písek, he submitted his original film Mr.
Liwed, successfully casting actors from the South Bohemian Theater ensemble. He
was later accepted into the Film Academy in Písek, where he completed his
studies with a master's degree and distinction.
